The Bureau of Emergency Medical and Trauma Services (BEMTS) works to protect the health of Iowans in an emergency. The bureau works with Iowa’s 99 local public health agencies, 118 hospitals and trauma centers, 931 EMS services, and 11,771 EMS providers.
No one can predict the next disaster or medical emergency; however you can be assured that BEMTS work with local partners makes protecting and promoting the health of Iowans our top priority.
