Continuing Education Opportunities
The Iowa Board of Barbering does not preapprove continuing education courses for individual providers but your continuing education chapter 24 includes a list of entities who may offer or sponsor these courses. Begin your search for continuing education courses by contacting licensed Iowa schools or associations of barbering or cosmetology as well as local universities and colleges to find out what they have to offer for scope of practice hours and Iowa laws and rules and sanitation.
Please be sure whomever you select is on the list of entities who may provide or sponsor continuing education courses AND that they will issue a certificate that meets the requirements as outlined inIAC 645 Chapter 24.
