Training Sessions for Medicaid Providers

The Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) holds a variety of training sessions every year. This section of the website outlines these training sessions and provides relevant information such as requirements for participation, schedules, locations, dates and times, and more. Check this webpage regularly to see any additional training sessions that may be added at later dates.

Provider Training 2022

The IME will hold quarterly provider training sessions in addition to the annual provider training that takes place each year. The quarterly training sessions will be held in one region, and focus on a specific topic. The annual training sessions will continue to be held throughout the state and will target all provider types. All sessions, quarterly and annual, will include representatives from the IME, and the MCOs.

2020 Critical Incident Reporting (CIR) Process Collaborative Training

This web-based training session will provide information regarding Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 77 major incident reporting requirements involving enrolled members of HCBS Waiver, Habilitation Services, and Money Follows the Person (MFP) programs. This training will also provide information on where to access the updated form, how to fill out it, and how to submit the form for non-MCO or the Fee-for-Service (FFS) members. HCBS waiver service providers, case managers, targeted case managers, service workers, transitional specialist, pediatric integrated health home (PIHH) care coordinators, and integrated health home (IHH) care coordinators are required to submit an incident report to the Bureau of Long Term Care, via the Iowa Medicaid Portal Access (IMPA) system, when a major incident has been witnessed or discovered for members who are non-MCO or FFS. You will be required to register to view this training video.
