Notice is hereby given that the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) will be submitting a renewal of its Iowa High Quality Healthcare Initiative 1915(b) Waiver to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This notice provides a summary of the extension request and describes the method for providing comments and questions.
DHS has operated IA Health Link, Iowa’s Medicaid managed care program under §1915(b) waiver authority since April 2016. The initial waiver was authorized for five years and is scheduled to expire March 31, 2021. This extension application will allow DHS to continue to operate the managed care program.
No modifications to the current program design are proposed through this extension request.
