Pursuant to the authority of Iowa Code Section 249A.4, the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) intends to renew the Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) AIDS/HIV Waiver effective July 1, 2020.
This notice provides details about the AIDS/HIV waiver renewal and serves to open the public comment period which closes January 13, 2020.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) authorizes 1915(c) HCBS waivers for a period of five years.
The AIDS/HIV waiver renewal application does not include any substantive changes to the currently approved waiver.
