In accordance with 42 CFR § 447.57(c), notice is hereby given that the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) has posted for public comment the following Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) related to technical changes for tracking of household income for purposes of calculating aggregate family limits for cost sharing effective July 1, 2019. This change is being made to align State Plan language with current policy.
This notice provides a summary of the purpose of the SPA and also serves to open the 30-day public comment period. All comments must be received by June 30, 2019.

The purpose of this posting is to provide public notice and receive public comments for a technical correct to State Plan language to indicate that Iowa's Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) are no longer contractually required to develop mechanisms to track cost sharing to ensure members' total cost sharing does not exceed 5 percent of quarterly household income. |
