The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS), pursuant to the requirements outlined in 42 C.F.R. §447.205 and §1902(a)(13)(A) of the Social Security Act, hereby gives notice of the following proposed action regarding the increase to the maximum age for a special population nursing facility from 21 to age 30 and to expand of the definition of a special population nursing facility criteria to include person residing in an intermediate care facility for persons with medical complexity under the State Plan under Title XIX of the Social Security Act Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid).
