The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS), pursuant to the requirements outlined in 42 C.F.R. §447.205 and §1902(a)(13)(A) of the Social Security Act, hereby gives notice of the following proposed action regarding implementation of a statewide fee schedule reimbursement for Targeted Case Management (TCM) and Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Case Management services under the State Plan under Title XIX of the Social Security Act Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid).
Effective on July 1, 2018, Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) IA-18-016 will amend Attachment 4.19-B of the Medicaid State plan in order to change from cost-based reimbursement to a statewide fee schedule reimbursement for TCM and HCBS Case Management services. The changes are proposed to comply with the 2018 Iowa Legislative session, House File 2483 Division VI section 8, Senate File 2418 Division XXVI section 135, and Iowa Code §249A.31.
