Your health care provider is the best source of information because they know you and your medical history or if you have any medical conditions. This page provides general information about pregnancy and mental health resources.
Women in the US are more likely to die from childbirth than women living in other developed countries. We focus on preventing pregnancy complications and maternal deaths and helping women stay healthy before, during, and after pregnancy. Iowa HHS Maternal Health Programs are found at various clinics and provide preventive health services to Medicaid-eligible and other low-income pregnant women.
