Family Planning clinics (Title X Family Planning Program) provide education, counseling and access to a wide variety of contraception methods along with preventive health screenings.

Clinics offer quality, confidential and voluntary health care for all individuals who need access to family planning and sexual and reproductive health services. 

  • Services for pre-conception health and achieving pregnancy (includes basic infertility services)
  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • HIV testing and referral for treatment
  • Screening for substance use disorder and referrals
  • Pregnancy diagnosis, counseling or prevention
  • Referrals to other health and social services

Fees are based on your income, typically on a sliding fee scale. You will never be refused services due to an inability to pay.

Title X family planning clinics offer quality, confidential health care that is often less costly than at other health centers. The cost for services is based on your income and ability to pay, and no one will be denied services due to inability to pay. 

About Title X Family Planning Program

The Title X Family Planning Program is the only federally funded program dedicated solely to providing comprehensive family planning and related preventive health services. Family planning clinics offer reproductive health services and community education across Iowa.
