Iowa HHS receives monthly operating reports from communities that add fluoride to their water systems. This data is monitored and entered into the CDC website My Water's Fluoride. Dental Hygienists’ and Dental Assistants’ Public Health Services Reports
These reports include aggregate data regarding services provided by dental hygienists and dental assistants using “public health supervision” from dentists.
Program summaries share details about oral health issues children living in Iowa face and the impacts of the I-Smile program. Each summary highlights both the success of I-Smile as well as areas of concern that need attention.
These reports detail the preventive school-based dental program and its data. I-Smile@School provides dental screenings, sealants, fluoride varnish, oral health education, and care coordination services.

The tracking portal includes data about the use of Iowa hospital Emergency Departments for oral health needs and Medicaid paid claims (relative to the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment reports for children receiving dental services).
School Dental Screening Audit Reports
The following reports are the results of audits of school dental screening certificates for Iowa children entering kindergarten and ninth grades. Information reported includes compliance with the requirement and numbers and rates of children with dental treatment needs.
