Become an authorized SNAP EBT Direct Marketing farmer by emailing farmers@dhs.state.ia.us. Low-income Iowans have increased access to locally grown farm fresh food at selected farmers markets due to the efforts of the Iowa HHS' Wireless EBT Project. This project provides a Wi-Fi enabled   point-of-sale machines to qualified direct marketing farmers across the state. Health & Human Services (HHS) pays for one point-of-sale (POS) device per qualified farmer.  There are no charges for EBT transactions. The machine does allow for Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express transactions (processing fees apply).
