Fresh Conversations is a free nutrition education program designed to support healthy aging and independence. Each month, Iowans aged 60 and older gather in communities across Iowa to discuss current nutrition and health topics, taste low-cost healthy recipes, and discover new ways to stay active and independent.

Eligibility

Fresh Conversations is a Iowa HHS SNAP-Ed program intended for older adults aged 60 years and older who are enrolled or eligible for SNAP benefits. Fresh Conversations is always looking for volunteers to help lead our meetings, contact us to learn about volunteering.

Meetings

Meetings are held in-person at congregate meal sites, libraries, hospitals and senior housing complexes in the following counties across the state. Contact us if you do not find your county listed.
