In partnership with Iowa HHS, Sunny Day Fund provides employer-sponsored economic mobility accounts that help working Iowans build financial resilience through automatic payroll savings. Employees can save toward multiple goals, earn competitive interest, and access their money anytime without penalties. Employers use the Sunny Day Fund to support workforce financial stability, engagement, and retention.

Iowa HHS is offering a pilot program to help employers provide workforce benefits that reduce financial stress and improve retention, at no cost to the employer for eligible employees. This pilot is designed for frontline employees who earn less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, typically ~$30-$60K/year. Employers may opt in for their Iowa-based employees from 2026 to 2028.
