The Juvenile Justice Advisory Council (JJAC) is appointed by the Governor pursuant to federal law to oversee Iowa's use of the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 related funds. The JJAC is charged with developing plans and recommendations for juvenile justice system improvements.
