For our efforts to be successful, we need to gather feedback from many different perspectives. A CCBHC Stakeholder Engagement Committee will be convened regularly and will hold regular meetings to assess and guide Iowa HHS’ work. In addition, HHS intends to coordinate focus groups across the state to gather input from Iowans about both the strengths and needs they see in Iowa’s current array of behavioral healthcare services and submit an application to SAMHSA for a four-year demonstration grant to implement CCBHCs in Iowa.
