Iowans who are Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients have increased access to locally grown farm fresh food at selected farmers markets due to the efforts of the Iowa HHS' Wireless EBT Project. This project allows you, the EBT Cardholder, to use your EBT card at participating farm stands and farmers market booths.  Look for the “We Accept” signs to find for participating direct farmers. SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency. Learn more about SNAP or find out if you are eligible for SNAP.
