Crisis Assessment

In 2023, The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services issued a Request for Proposal for technical assistance and recommendations for Iowa’s crisis continuum of care. Health Management Associates (HMA) was awarded the contract to assess Iowa’s current crisis services and provide a roadmap and recommendations for shifting Iowa’s mental health crisis system to a statewide, coordinated behavioral health crisis system. 988 Lifeline

The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. From kids to grandparents to college students, 988 has trained crisis counselors who can help Iowans of any age. We can all help prevent suicide. There is hope.
