The Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Commission meets to build policy and provide direction related to tobacco use prevention and control.
TUPC Resources

Membership includes:
- Three voting members appointed by the Governor.
- Three voting members from nonprofit health organizations that emphasize tobacco use prevention or who are active as local health service providers.
- Three voting members who are active in local health promotion activities in youth education, nonprofit services or other related efforts.
- Three voting members to be selected by participants at the annual youth summit.
The commission also includes three non-voting members to include:
- Four non-voting members of the Iowa general assembly.
- Two non-voting members selected by the majority and minority leaders of the Iowa senate.
- Two non-voting members selected by the majority and minority leaders of the Iowa house of representatives.
- One presiding officer of the statewide youth executive body selected by delegates at the statewide youth summit.
Besides the members of the commission, following department agencies and partners select a single liaison to the commission to aid the commission.
