The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) offers nutrition support and food assistance to income-eligible pregnant and postpartum women and children under the age of five. WIC specializes in breastfeeding support, including classes and one-on-one appointments with lactation consultants. They can also help connect women with breast pumps as needed. In addition to breastfeeding help, WIC can provide families with nutrition education from qualified nutrition professionals, connections to other community resources, and monthly supplemental foods to support a healthy lifestyle. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are moms who have breastfed and are enthusiastic about sharing their breastfeeding knowledge with other moms. Peer counselors are current or past WIC participants and work closely with WIC staff to promote breastfeeding in their communities. Peer counselors are available outside of regular WIC clinic hours and provide phone, text messaging, and in-person breastfeeding support.
