The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), pursuant to the requirements outlined in 42 C.F.R. §447.205, hereby gives notice of the proposed action to clarify Multisystemic Therapy (MST) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) provider qualification and supervision standards. MST and FFT providers must meet qualifications detailed in the HHS’ Behavioral Health Services Provider Manual to provide services in the State.
Summary of Submission:
This notice is to provide information of public interest with respect to the updates regarding MST and FFT treatment provider qualification and supervision standards to align with the State’s Behavioral Health Services Provider Manual. Iowa Medicaid is submitting State Plan Amendment (SPA IA-25-0024) to CMS detailing these changes, effective July 1, 2025.
