Notice is hereby given that the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be submitting an amendment to its Iowa High Quality Healthcare Initiative 1915(b) Waiver to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This notice provides a summary of the amendment request and describes the method for providing comments and questions.
Summary
HHS has operated Iowa Health Link, Iowa’s Medicaid managed care program under §1915(b) waiver authority since April 2016. This amendment application does not propose any modifications to the program design and is being submitted to address technical corrections necessary to reflect the addition of Molina Healthcare of Iowa as an additional managed care organization through which members may be enrolled under the waiver effective July 1, 2023. Additionally, the amendment addresses technical corrections reflecting the reorganization of the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) to the current HHS structure in accordance with current state law and updates Iowa Medicaid Enterprise to Iowa Medicaid.
